Series Title: Money Madness (Part 1 – Giving Is Better Than Receiving)
Series Hashtag: #CrazyGenerosity

5 Bottom Line Beliefs

  1. Green lights mean speed up, not slow down.
  2. When eating out at a restaurant, booths are better than tables.
  3. 80’s rule all other decades.
  4. If you fill a shopping cart stay, please out of the Express Checkout.
  5. There is nothing greater than the Gospel.

What is the Gospel? John 3:16

For God so loved the world that He GAVE… #CrazyGenerosity

John 15:13 says, There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

Giving is better than receiving!

  1. Jesus came to give.
  2. Jesus came to serve.
  3. Jesus came to surrender.

Surrender is not giving God something.
Surrender is giving God everything.

Even my money? Yep.

And I have been a constant example of how you can help those in need by working hard. You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” ~Acts 20:35

2 Corinthians 9:11-12 (NIV)
You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.

Matthew 6:24 (NLT)
“No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

Are we willing to give God His portion?

Matthew 23:23 (NLT)
“What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are careful to tithe even the tiniest income from your herb gardens, but you ignore the more important aspects of the law—justice, mercy, and faith. You should tithe, yes, but do not neglect the more important things. [If Jesus said it, we should do it.]

Malachi 3:10 (MSG)
Bring your full tithe to the Temple treasury so there will be ample provisions in my Temple. Test me in this and see if I don’t open up heaven itself to you and pour out blessings beyond your wildest dreams.
