Saturday.
Yesterday was Friday — Good Friday.
Tomorrow is Sunday — Easter Sunday.
Today is Saturday — just Saturday.
For the disciples, the Saturday between Jesus’ death and resurrection must have been the absolute darkest day of their lives; a heart-checking, gut-wrenching, hope-shattering, soul-searching, debilitating day of overwhelming sadness and grief.
It’s never easy to be in the middle of the meantime.
Today represents hope deferred before longing fulfilled.
Today represents every day before 41 comes.
Today represents the season of waiting before the breakthrough shows up.
Don’t quit.
Tomorrow is Resurrection Sunday—and the same Spirit that raised JESUS from the dead lives inside of you!
…Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning. —Psalm 30:5 (NLT)
